Victory Lunch 1945

1940's

Bunts Concessions had its early beginnings when Harry Bunts, Jr worked for his mother for many years at the Mahoning County Fair in Canfield, OH. It was always a family affair with lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters helping out. Eventually Harry bought a "knock-down" sno cone stand and he was in business.

1950's

The Apple Cart came into existence in 1955 when Harry purchased an old rickety confection trailer and a scratch recipe for old-fashioned cinnamon candy apples. The trailer came with 3 events; The Canfield Fair, Columbiana County Fair, and Randolph Fair. Canfield & Randolph are still on the route today!  In 1959 Harry decided that the concession business would become his full-time endeavor and began expanding the route adding several prominent events in PA including; The Big Butler Fair, Clearfield County Fair, York Interstate Fair and Bloomsburg Fair. Many of these events are also still on our schedule!

1960 to today

The first "new" concession trailer was purchased in 1959 and new and improved units were added in 1965, 1971, 1989 and 1995.  Along with a multitude of trucks, campers, "stick joints" and other support vehicles throughout the years!   Harry always wanted to serve the best of whatever product he was purveying so he often experimented and developed scratch recipes.  We still use his cinnamon candy apple recipe, caramel apple recipe and, at select Fall events, his pumpkin cotton candy.  Today we carry on the tradition of quality and excellence that Harry started in 1955!
